My name is Manuela Pizarro Omeñaca, but I like to abbreviate it to Manuela PO.

I was born in Santiago de Chile in 1997 and two years later they took me to live in the city of Los Andes, a beautiful and small but growing pre-cordilleran city; I have spent my entire life between Santiago and Los Andes.

I studied Visual Arts with a major in painting at Finis Terrae University, graduating in 2020; There I met my friends and colleagues with whom we formed SIUMA, an eco-feminist art collective, from 2018 to 2022.

In 2019, Fiesta Ilegal invites me to be part of their team in the artistic area; This being a project with a localist perspective with the objective of creating community and a sense of belonging to the places of Aconcagua, mixing club music, visual arts, performance and other artistic expressions.

I recently became a Mother, which marked the beginning and end of a cycle, taking me to a different state where I felt how my body, containing a life, was a simile of Mother Earth containing us.

My work focuses on the exploration of themes such as ecology, seen from a spiritual point of inhabiting this world, feminism and the necessary vindication of feminine power and knowledge, culture and syncretism, landscape and the perception we have of this.

I take the expression of the visual through painting, drawing, ceramics, installations and performance; always open to new media, according to the expression needed.

Today I live and be a mother in Los Andes, accompanied by the majestic Andean mountain range.
